Irma Dias graduated from Northeastern University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in International Affairs. As an undergraduate, Ms. Dias spent a summer in Brazil working with Global PACT to raise awareness of Human Rights issues in the favelas of Bahia. A native of the Cape Verde Islands, Ms. Dias has traveled to Africa, Europe, and South America. She is fluent in Kriolu (Cabo Verde) and Portuguese.
